Alcon Brake Upgrades
We have worked with Alcon for many years on various projects which have given us the opportunity to see how good their brake kits are, and they are without doubt the best. Their Advantage Extreme range is designed to offer the best braking possible on road and track, the kit includes the calipers, discs, pads and fluids. The calipers used in the kits are made from a gravity die cast monobloc aluminium alloy which gives the perfect balance of strength and weight. The pistons in the caliper are also staggered to ensure that pad wear remains even, whilst retaining a firm pedal. Extensive testing has shown the best pad and disc combination which results in strong cold performance from start-up whilst providing superior resistance to fading at high temperatures.
Alcon currently produce their Advantage extreme range for the following models of BMW:
- BMW E46 M3 18" OE Wheel
- BMW E46 M3 Rear
- BMW E90/E92/E93 - Non M3 (4 Pot & 6 Pot)
- BMW E90/E92/E93 - Non M3 Rear
For owners of the E90 M3 (+non M3) and E60 M5 we can offer the ultimate brake upgrade, the Alcon Superkit. These kits all feature 6 pot front and 4 pot rear calipers which are machined from a single piece of billet aluminium. These bigger calipers equal larger pads and larger discs which contribute to better temperature management. All of this means superior braking and faster lap times.
