One of the most enjoyable parts of this company is the development of new parts and products. 2008 and 2009 have seen a massive effort to get new Litchfield parts to market which will significantly improve what we offer as complete cars and upgrades to customers. I’m delighted to say that some of our long running projects have reached production.

Litchfield Subaru 800cc Injectors
Having worked with a number of different fuel injectors from around the world Litchfield have decided to produce their own version. With the cost of importing parts from Japan significantly more expensive and some of the products received from other parts of the world be questionable in quality. It was decided to produce a UK sourced alternative and adapt it to suit the Subaru Impreza manifolds.
Litchfield Top Feed Injectors will:

- Support for 380 - 500bhp applications
- 800cc Capacity vs the standard STI’s 500cc
- Significantly improved fuel atomisation
- Providing improved power and fuel consumption
- Better location within the Subaru Inlet manifold over Japanese products
- Cost effective, UK sourced components and machining
These injectors have been extensively tested on various 2.0 and 2.5 engine configurations with excellent results. The price is £475+vat for a set including detailed instructions.

Litchfield Twin Entry Turbos chargers are here
After nearly 11 months of development our finished production turbos are now here. We are now verifying that these finished units perform as expected and building a data base of results that will help customers choose the right turbo variant for their application.

Testing on specially calibrated 2.0 and 2.5 litre vehicles will now commence over the next few weeks. This will provide us with exceptionally detailed data for each turbo change.
Designed as a bolt on replacement for the JDM Twinscroll cars these new turbos will support power from 380bhp to over 500bhp. We will also work on an adaption kit for EU and USDM single scroll cars.

Ecutek Subaru software advances

Biggest step forward in Subaru ECU reprogramming since the original ECUTEK software suite was introduced. Now Drive-by-wire cars like the MY06 Subaru Impreza WRX, MY08 Impreza STI, JDM Legacy Turbo models have a whole new world of tuning options.
We are now able to provide:
- Per gear boost control for much better response in lower gears.
- Switchable maps including a new Race mode in Si-Drive equipped cars
- Configurable Launch control
- Full throttle gear changing
- Engine blipping on down changes
- Seamless switching between MAF and MAP load inputs, ideal for very higher power cars that runs out of MAF sensor resolution. Avoids the need to switch to a standalone ECU.
Working closely with ECUTEK we have provide vehicle support for their development process. Last week saw us testing the finished software on one of our MY08 JDM STI’s with amazing results. See a video clip of our testing on YouTube by clicking here.
