Litchfield Impreza Type-20 hits the press

Our latest Subaru Impreza special edition, the Type-20, is receiving fantastic critical reviews. So far we have had the car featured by Driver’s Republic, Autocar Magazine and Evo Magazine with more to follow soon. You can view Autocar’s online review now and it will be featured in their early January Magazine issue.

Driver’s Republic took the Type-20 on some testing British Rally stages where it was joined by a classis Audi Quattro and Evo IV Tommi Makinen. The article is free on their website and features some superb images of the Type-20 being put through its paces along with some video clips.

We hope the Type-20 will also feature in the next issue of Evo Magazine in January.

Litchfield Twinscroll Turbos are now available to pre-order

One of the most exciting developments for 2009 is our new Subaru Twinscroll Turbo series, as featured on our latest Type-20. Designed as a bolt on replacement for the JDM Twinscroll cars these new turbos will support power from 380bhp to over 500bhp.

We have worked with longstanding Turbo supplier Turbo Dynamics to produce our own unique Turbo exhaust housings. Using the latest computer design and experienced British engineering we hope to offer a Turbo option to suit each customer’s needs.

We will also be able to provide upgrade kits for UK/EU/US STI owners which will provide the necessary components to convert their cars to Twinscroll.

There is more information on the turbos development on the Type-20 section of our website. We are taking pre-orders now to gauge numbers for the first batch which we expect early in 2009. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

MX-5 Supercharger project nears completion

We are currently finishing our 2 year development program with the MK3 Mazda MX-5. We will initially offer 2 versions of the MX-5 Supercharger kit. The first will be a fitted RHD service which includes Cosworth’s own Engine reprogramming package which is currently going through validation. This kit is designed to work on a completely standard car. We expect this kit to cost £4,895 fitted and including VAT.

The second more powerful version which will feature our Milltek exhaust system, performance filter and our own ECU Calibration. This package should cost £5,995 fitted and including VAT.

We hope to have our demonstrator available for test drives during January.

We have also developed a new AST suspension package for the MX-5 which has transformed the handling. The car now has more progressive chassis with much better body control.

Finally, a massive thank you to our customers, suppliers and friends for another great year. Despite the constant bombardment of doom and gloom from the Media we have still managed another strong year thanks to our optimistic customers. Our new premises and exciting developments should see 2009 as the best yet.
