2009 Litchfield Type-20 - Cold Air Intake

The Type-20 is able to draw a constant supply of the cold air through its new intake system.

Dyno testing has shown an intake pressure drop caused by the restrictive standard intake system. The standard intake would limit power on both 2.0 and 2.5 models to around 340-350bhp. We have removed this restriction by fitting a larger 76mm smooth path tube which is fed from a larger cone filter positioned in the inner wing. This allows the filter to receive plenty of cold air and protects it from the outside weather. The intake filter is also protected from engine bay heat by a lightweight aluminium shield.

Noise levels remain as standard on light and partial throttle as the heat shield also acts as a sound insulation from induction noise.

The intake is finished in either a subtle matt black or a highly polished Alloy to suit the customer’s individual tastes.
